Abstract
Gradescope (gradescope.com) is a free online system that simplifies the marking of written exams and assignments. The students' work is scanned to PDF (or submitted as PDF), and the system brings up each answer for you to mark with a few keystrokes. It can be used by multiple markers simultaneously. I have used it for several exams, and have found it very useful. This seminar will demonstrate Gradescope, give a few tips for making it more efficient on local computers, and give an indication of the benefits, costs and risks involved in using it.
