China Internship Peking Summer 2019

Explore Beijing, China

Check back for future information sessions in 2022

Explore Beijing while studying at one of China’s most prestigious universities for five weeks this summer. Peking University is even harder to get into than Harvard University! You will also get to develop important transferable skills by working on a project for a New Zealand organisation.

You will benefit by living near Peking University in the ZhongGuanCun area of Beijing (‘China’s Silicon Valley’). This combined with your project as well as language, history and culture classes will enable you to gain a unique insight into another culture, which is supplemented by a series of day trips in, around and beyond Beijing. This includes visiting the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and other attractions. A three-night stopover in Guangzhou is also provided. This programme provides a series of experiences that would not otherwise be possible, framed by an academic programme designed to maximise learning and growth.

Peking University is ranked 31st in the THE World University Rankings 2019 and 22nd equal in the QS World University Rankings 2019.

The Explore Beijing Programme is open to undergraduate students from all degrees and majors. Successful applicants must enrol in the PACE 295 course organised by the College of Arts and upon successful completion of the requirements of this course will earn 15 points credit for their efforts.
