Visiting Canterbury Fellowships are available to distinguished scholars from overseas who speak English fluently. These fellowships are to give lectures to UC students. They are available for schools and departments in our faculties of Arts, Education, and Law which don't have access to the Erskine Fund. Learn more about Canterbury fellows.

The University of Cambridge and the University of Canterbury have a Cambridge/Canterbury Academic Exchange Programme to build on the academic links that have been developed. Each faculty at UC has an annual quota of visiting Erskine fellows and these fellowships are awarded via a nomination process. A nomination is made by the Head of a School/Department and supported by the Faculty Executive Dean. Find out about eligibility for the Erskine programme.

The purpose of visiting fellowships is to give lectures to UC students. A nomination is made by the head of the relevant school or department, after consultation with relevant academic colleagues.
