Tuition fees for each summer school course are listed on the Course Information pages by searching the relevant course code. In addition to the tuition fee, a compulsory Student Services Levy (SSL) is also charged.
The University offers a wide selection of undergraduate, postgraduate and preparatory courses in a range of subjects over the summer (November-February). If you’re looking at a new career direction, Summer School at UC is a great way to fast track your study. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to shorten the duration of your degree, spread your workload or improve your academic skills.
Summer school courses
Most summer courses have an intensive teaching format that require your full commitment, so you are recommended to take no more than two courses during the summer. You should also choose courses that will balance your workload across both SU2 and SU1 periods. Engineering First Year students may only take a maximum of 30 points during Summer School.
New to UC? If you're new to university study, we recommend one of the preparatory options over summer instead of any degree-level summer courses (which are condensed into a shorter timeframe and so are very intensive).
