Divya Vaidyanathan graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Master of Strategic Communication in 2024.
Divya has spent over 16 years using the power of communication to inform, influence and inspire change. Her career has taken her from the fast-paced world of television journalism with some of India's leading news networks, to shaping public health campaigns that have supported national policy and social impact.
At 44, Divya decided to step away from an established career to pursue postgraduate study at UC, graduating with Distinction – a reminder that learning and reinvention have no age limit. Today, she advises the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi, on strategic communications and advocacy. Passionate about connecting people through stories, ideas and purpose, Divya believes the best careers are rarely linear, and that saying "yes" to new beginnings can be the most rewarding decision of all.
