Scholaro Reports

02 March 2026

Instructions on how to order a Scholaro GPA report for UC admission or scholarship applications.

HOW TO APPLY

When applying for admission or scholarships at UC, you are required to provide full transcripts of your results, which include the institution's grading scale, along with full English translations, where appropriate.  For qualifications taken outside of New Zealand, you will also need to provide a Scholaro GPA equivalence report.

A Scholaro GPA equivalence report shows the conversion of your international qualification or courses to the New Zealand equivalent.

It is important that the report you provide is accurate and includes all courses (passed or failed), and that you have used the correct grading scale for your institution. If your Admission report is incorrect, you will be asked to redo the report, and your admission application will not be processed until it is correct. In the case of applications for scholarships, if you provide an incorrect report, you will be marked as ineligible for not providing the required documentation.

You must complete a Scholaro GPA equivalence report that shows the grades for the equivalent of 2 years of full-time study. For your admission application, this must be your highest completed degree. For a Scholarship application, it must show 2 years of your most recent study. This means that depending on your circumstances, you may need to provide more than one report. Some examples:

  • Your most recent or highest completed degree is a 2 year Master's degree over 2 years - your Scholaro report must show all courses taken for this qualification.
  • Your most recent or highest completed degree is a 2 year Master’s degree studied over 4 years part-time - your Scholaro report must show all courses taken for this qualification over the whole 4 year period.
  • Your most recent or highest completed degree is a 1-year Master’s degree – you must complete more than one Scholaro report. Calculate the Master’s GPA and calculate: the GPA from another completed 1-year Master’s degree, or the GPA from the final year of your Bachelor’s degree (using the appropriate institution’s grading scale for each).
  • Your most recent or highest completed degree is a 1.5 year Master's - you must complete more than one Scholaro report. Calculate the 1.5 year Master’s GPA and calculate the final half year of your bachelor's degree or other Master’s degree (using the appropriate institution's grading scale for each).

Please note: If you have completed multiple Master’s degrees: calculate each Master’s GPA separately for your Admission application.

How to order your GPA report

We accept GPA reports from Scholaro only. The following are instructions on how to order your GPA report/s from them.

  1. Use this link only (also provided below) to enter the Scholaro website as entering from elsewhere will not create the report in the New Zealand 9 point scale.
  2. Click "Get Started" to create a Scholaro account or "Sign In" if you already have an existing Scholaro account.
  3. Choose "One Report" for calculating the GPA of your highest completed degree.
  4. Create a new Scholaro account or sign in to your exiting account.
  5. Enter payment information and "Submit Order".
  6. Select 'Create GPA Report'
  7. Enter your name, country of study and Institution.
  8. Check that the grading scale provided is the same as the one provided by your institution. If it is not, select the 'Grading scale' options and look for the grading scale that is the same as yours. If you cannot locate it, you will need to contact Scholaro to request for them to update their information. In most cases, you'll receive a response within 1-3 business days.
  9. Enter each course name, credits/hours and grades for the relevant equivalent of 2 years of full-time study, exactly as they appear on your documents, including any failed courses. You can use the 'upload transcript' option, which will automatically upload this information; however, you must check the details to ensure that only all the relevant courses are listed, and the grades/points are correct.
  10. Click "Calculate GPA" and then re-check your report to ensure no grades have been missed/are incorrect.
  11. Click "Create GPA Report" and save your report as a PDF document to attach along with your transcripts to your Admission or Scholarship application.
