Journalism is more than reporting on current events – it is the research and analysis of ethical issues, audience needs, technology, and more – all produced in a fast-moving digital space.

Journalism is essential to our everyday lives, and this degree will allow you to enter in this critical work force with the skills learned here at UC.

Complete the compulsory courses for the Bachelor of Communication, along with the following major courses:

200-level

300-level

Limited entry to the second year of the Journalism major

To continue your Journalism major after the first year of study, you will need to complete an application form and attend a formal interview before selections are made.

Selection takes into account a number of factors, including whether you have a realistic understanding of the workplace and possible career paths, and a passion or sense of vocation about journalism.
