UC Ignite

University of Canterbury, supported by Business Canterbury and Engineering New Zealand, are hosting an evening of networking with Canterbury business leaders.  

Ignite is an opportunity to discuss research, innovation, and community impact initiatives and discover what Waitaha Canterbury may need in the future. This event will look at the engineering industry, the University’s role and the wider impact on the business community.  

This year, we’re excited to feature a keynote address from Amo Matua, Pūhanga | Executive Dean Engineering Professor Saurabh Sinha, who will share insights on the new Faculty of Engineering Strategy 2030. 

Following the keynote, a panel discussion will bring together industry leaders from multidisciplinary engineering roles to explore how engineering is evolving across Aotearoa and beyond and how our educational curriculum is adapting to meet the demands.
