About the Event
Join us for an engaging discussion featuring three internationally renowned researchers on diversity, inclusion, and meritocracy in organisations:
- Associate Professor Remi Trudel, Boston University, USA
- Professor Michelle (Mikki) Rae Hebl, Rice University, USA
- Associate Professor Clifford Lewis, Charles Sturt University, Australia
“We only hire the best people” is a phrase often heard in organisations – but who defines what “best” really means? This session explores how meritocracy policies shape hiring decisions, workplace culture, and organisational performance, and how purposefully diverse approaches can strengthen productivity, growth, and inclusion.
Each speaker will share insights from their research, followed by a panel discussion examining meritocracy and diversity practices across business, workplaces, communities, and government.
This is a free event, doors open at 5.45pm for a 6pm start, with food and drinks provided following the session at approximately 7pm. Places are limited, so please register early.
