What if streets were designed for communities, not just traffic?
Dutch urban mobility expert Professor Marco te Brömmelstroet is coming to UC for a free public talk on how we can rethink streets, transport and public spaces.
His talk, “Why was John Lennon in bed with a Dutch bike?”, explores how the language we use to describe streets has shaped the way they are designed — often around efficiency, rather than people, liveability and connection.
