About the Event
Take inspiration from ancient myths and stories in the UC Teece Museum and make your own layered paper artwork that tells a tale. Participants will learn how to make unique collage papers using a variety of mark-making techniques. We will experiment with shaping, arranging and attaching papers to create colourful, fantastical, and expressive scenes.
Meg Nicoll is an art educator who specialises in paper craft, collage and bookmaking. Prior to moving to Ōtautahi in 2023, Meg was art educator at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Currently, she teaches art at Risingholme and works as a freelance educator. Meg loves introducing people to art-making and is committed to building welcoming and collaborative learning environments where participants feel comfortable experimenting with materials.
This workshop is suitable for budding artists aged 7 years to 14 years. Caregivers welcome. Tickets just $7.50. Places are limited to just 15 artists, so registration is essential
