I am passionate about working to enhance the wellbeing of others through education. I have particular interest in working with those navigating barriers that may hinder their access to equitable learning opportunities.
I have a Master of Arts degree in Education, and I have completed further post-graduate studies in Educational and Developmental Psychology.
I am a NZCER registered level C Assessor with experience in assessment and diagnosis, combined with support for young people navigating complexities associated with neurodiversity.
I have previously worked in early childhood (Early Intervention), primary, secondary, and tertiary educational settings, as well as private organisations.
Key to achieving success in my role as Kaitohutohu Whaikaha, is building relationships with students to help them develop a sense of connectedness to Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha and supporting those students towards achieving their individual success.
