As the Industry Engagement and Employment Lead within the Centre for Employability and Career Development, my role focuses on building strong, practical partnerships between the University and industry. I help organisations connect with UC students and graduates through internships, projects, placements, and graduate recruitment. I work closely with employers to understand their workforce needs and design engagement opportunities that deliver genuine value for both businesses and students.
With a strong emphasis on collaboration and outcomes, I act as a key point of contact for organisations looking to engage with the University of Canterbury. I provide guidance on how to work effectively with UC, navigate opportunities across faculties and programmes, and develop sustainable relationships that support talent pipelines, innovation, and future skills development. My approach is pragmatic, relationship-driven, and focused on creating partnerships that are mutually beneficial and easy to engage with.
