Geographic Patterns of Parkinson's Disease: Environmental Exposures and Healthcare Accessibility Networks
Recent evidence links geospatial factors to Parkinson's disease (PD) onset, suggesting that where people live significantly influences their disease risk. This project investigates how environmental exposures and healthcare accessibility influence PD prevalence, incidence, and outcomes in New Zealand and contributes a novel longitudinal, long-term outcomes design with the aim of improving spatial health equity.
This study is fully funded by the UC Doctoral and GRI Scholarships.
