Research title: Environmental Impacts of Gravel-Rubber Mixtures in Eco-rubber Geotechnical Seismic Isolation (ERGSI) Foundation Systems
Main supervisor: Prof. Gabriele Chiaro
Co-supervisor: Dr. Laura Banasiak, Dr. Simone Larcher, Mahyar Ghanadi
Research interests: I am researching on the environmental impacts of using recycled rubber tire derived materials and gravel in foundation systems. My work primarily focuses on evaluating the leaching behavior of metals and organic compounds, aiming to make tire reuse safe, practical, and sustainable for engineering applications. My research goal is to contribute to the development of sustainable geotechnical practices by reusing tire materials that improve infrastructure strength while reducing environmental impacts.
Personal interests : Outside of research I love mountain trekking, wildlife safaris, as well as experiencing different cultures and lifestyles.
Academic history I did my bachelors and master’s degree in environmental science from Tribhuwan University, Nepal. I have also Awarded with Netherland Fellowship Program for International short course on Climate Change Adaptation in Natural Resource Management and Food Security, Makerere University, School of Agricultural Sciences jointly with the Centre for Development Innovation (CDI) of Wageningen University and Research Centre, the Netherland
