About Me:
I am a PhD student in Management at the University of Canterbury Business School, having commenced my doctoral studies on 1 September 2025. I am originally from Bangladesh and am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies at Comilla University, Bangladesh, where I am on approved study leave to pursue my PhD. Before starting my doctoral studies, I was actively involved in teaching and research in management and organisational behaviour. My academic interests include issues of fairness, commitment, leadership, and wellbeing in organisational contexts, particularly in emerging and developing economies. Through my PhD, I aim to contribute research that is both theoretically grounded and socially impactful.

Why did you choose UC?
I chose the University of Canterbury Business School because of its strong research culture, supportive doctoral environment, and alignment with my research interests in management and entrepreneurship. The expertise of my supervisors and UC’s emphasis on impactful, globally relevant research were key factors in my decision.
Best things about study at UC:
My experience so far at UC Business School has been highly positive, particularly the collegial research environment, access to academic support, and opportunities for intellectual exchange with fellow PhD students and faculty. The supportive supervision and structured doctoral programme have helped me transition confidently into my PhD journey.
