- Research interests: Earthquake engineering, reinforced concrete structures, GFRP reinforcement, structural testing, and seismic response.
· Personal interests: Football (Vamos América!), film, and history. I’m also a big foodie with an interest in haute cuisine.
- Academic history: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, both from UNAM in Mexico City. I am currently completing my PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering at the University of Canterbury.
