School of Educational Studies and Leadership

Te Kura Ārahi Ako | The School of Educational Studies and Leadership is led by a Head of School who works closely with senior academics across the University and the College management team. The School staff includes academics ranging from Distinguished Professor to Lecturer level, and administrators. The School is located on Levels 4 and 5 of Rehua.
The School offers programmes and research designed to meet the needs of wide range of interdisciplinary fields. The School’s research and teaching concerns early childhood, primary and secondary school, tertiary education, adult and community learning. Our academics draw on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives including psychology, leadership, history, philosophy, sociology, organisational theory, policy studies and critical theory; our research perspectives are broad and engage with contemporary theories.
