London Pub Reviews is actually a collection of short stories, each written in the style of reviews. The London pubs being 'reviewed' are real, although the hapless reviewer character ends up being thrown out of almost all of them. Many London bookshops stocked London Pub Reviews in both the 'Fiction' and the 'London' sections, and Waterstones called it "a cross between Blade Runner and Coronation Street."
