“Kia ora my name is Lok Kan and I am a registered social worker with practical and teaching experience in Social Work and Health that span both Hong Kong and Aotearoa New Zealand. I enjoy supporting students on making personal goals and exploring options that are available to them. I have particular interest in practising solution-focused approach.
Originally from Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in philosophy, I relocated to New Zealand to complete my master’s in social work at the University of Auckland. Afterwards, I worked as a Senior Lecturer for Ara Institute of Canterbury and then take up my current role at UC.
