This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the increasing importance of diversity in organisations. We study a range of theories and focus on how to apply those theories to real-world situations.
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the increasing importance of diversity in organisations. Students will increase their awareness of the impact of demographic trends on organisations, the extent and causes of inequity in the labour market, and the capacities of organisations to redress employment inequity. We use a variety of multi-disciplinary literature to study how diversity is experienced and understood within organisations.
This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop the Graduate Attributes specified below:

Students know and can critically evaluate and, where applicable, apply this knowledge to topics/issues within their majoring subject.

Students will develop key skills and attributes sought by employers that can be used in a range of applications.
