Description

Problem-solving interventions across the life-span at the individual, family and community level using behaviour analysis principles.

The applications and interventions studied will be evidence-based and draw on the principles of behaviour analysis / social learning theory / cognitive-behavioural theory / therapy.

Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course are expected to be able to
(a) analyse problems using the conceptual framework provided by behavioural analysis/cognitive-behavioural theory.
(b) plan “in principle” problem-solving interventions which embody evidence-based principles.
(c) structure interventions so that outcomes may be scientifically evaluated using appropriate research designs.
(d) relate specific problems and interventions to current relevant theory and research.
