Research Paper

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of the Research Paper is to provide students with the opportunity to contextualise their practice.  It will also enable students to:

* develop skills in accessing information
* learn to construct a bibliography
* develop skills in organising and analysing research material
* gain experience in formulating questions and developing extended, coherent arguments
* develop habits of scholarship, including setting and achieving demanding goals and being self-critical
* gain confidence in documentating and presenting the result of their research in a scholarly fashion
* develop a critical perspective of contemporary art practice, and their position within it.

Subject to approval of the Head of School.
