Description

This course will provide students with an understanding of ways in which evidence is used in health decision making, in health promotion, clinical care and health policy, and the social science tools which underpin much health research.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will be able to identify three elements of critical appraisal of any medicine or public health academic literature or description of primary studies.

2. The student will be able to identify the steps of conducting a systematic review and appraisal of literature.

Prerequisites

Either 15 points in HLTH at 200-level or above, or
any 45 points at 200-level or above
