Pasifika Research Symposium

The Pasifika Research Symposium is a two day seminar with its main objective to attract and inspire more Pasifika students and Pasifika people in the community to consider the merits of postgraduate studies and research not only for themselves and families but for their Pasifika communities as a whole. The symposium this year will be held on Thursday 28 August and Friday 29 August 2014 and is open to all students and staff with an interest in Pasifika - free for all students Pasifika and non-Pasifika, Koha for others at the registration table just make sure to register online.

Jandals 3

Don't miss out on the last Jandals for the year which will be held on Wednesday 30 July. For those who are not familiar with Jandals, Jandals are social evenings organised by students for students. Held two or three times a year, these evenings usually involve a few fun games, quizzes, spot prizes, impromptu entertainment and a lot of very loud laughter!

The Pacific Development Team is happy to announce the launch of the XLerate Outreach programme. XLerate is an outreach programme being held over the Term 2 secondary school holidays and which is open to all Pasifika NCEA students and their families in Christchurch and is FREE! The programme is being led by the University of Canterbury with funding and support from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs and many other organisation from the Christchurch.
