Curriculum Studies in Music Education
This course aims to develop an understanding of curriculum planning and evaluation techniques in music education situations; to provide the opportunity to research in depth a chosen curriculum topic.Course Content:Semester One: selected topics include:Curriculum objectives and musical growthEvaluation - the distinction between attainment and aptitudeHistorical background to the current school curriculumDesigning instrumental programmesSemester Two: Special consideration of each student's own area of interestDeveloping and writing research paper
