This course will give you an insight into the excitement and challenge associated with introducing and leading change, especially strategic change, in organisations. The course is based on Associate Professor Nilakant’s change management model that views change management as addressing four complex tasks: a. appreciating change, b. mobilising support, c. executing change, and d. building change capability.
On completion of the course, it is expected that learners will be able to: 1. Describe the relationship between strategic decision making and change.2. Explore assumptions, limitations, and mental models that either enable or create barriers to strategic decision making and change in organisations.3. Design leadership decisions and leading change using appropriate frameworks and processes.4. Develop a change strategy associated with strategic leadership decisions, using change management principles and ideas.
