This course covers key concepts, principles and frameworks related to digital business strategy and implementation including Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business eCommerce and technology infrastructure needed to support these systems. This course explores ethical, legal, and societal issues relating to internet technology use by organisations.
At the end of this course, it is expected that students should be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of the unique features of internet technology and their business significanceDemonstrate an understanding of issues relating to the selection of the digital business models for an organisationDemonstrate knowledge of the role of internet technology in the supply chain and procurement process. Identify and evaluate key issues related to implementation and infrastructure issues Identify and evaluation key usability and human computer interaction principles to digital business website designIdentify and evaluate key security threats in digital business environments.Demonstrate an understanding of ethical, social and legal issues raised by digital business implementations
