Description

This course covers key concepts, principles and frameworks related to digital business strategy and implementation including Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business eCommerce and technology infrastructure needed to support these systems. This course explores ethical, legal, and societal issues relating to internet technology use by organisations.

Learning Outcomes

  • At the end of this course, it is expected that students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the unique features of internet technology and their business significance
  • Demonstrate an understanding of issues relating to the selection of the digital business models for an organisation
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the role of internet technology in the supply chain and procurement process.
  • Identify and evaluate key issues related to implementation and infrastructure issues
  • Identify and evaluation key usability and human computer interaction principles to digital business website design
  • Identify and evaluate key security threats in digital business environments.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ethical, social and legal issues raised by digital business implementations
