Business strategies and market power. Price discrimination, tie-in sales, quality, durability, predatory pricing, vertical integration and restraints. Information, advertising and disclosure. Network economics.

Prerequisites

ECON 230 or ECON 231 or ECON203 or ECON208.

Notes

This course is strongly complementary to ECON329 (Industrial Organization and Regulation) and they make a natural package.  The same textbook is used for both courses.  ECON329, however, is not a prerequisite for ECON330.
