Fire Engineering

Introduction

Fire engineers specialise in the application of science and engineering principles to protect people and their environment from destructive fire.

The Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering (research master's) and Master of Fire Engineering Studies (taught master's) are open to graduates from relevant branches of engineering, and covers all aspects of fire safety in buildings and other structures, human safety, and risk assessment.

Some courses are offered in blocks and online learning software allows for flexible programmes of study. Students also complete a thesis or project.
