Description

This course will provide advanced CBT formulation skills, teaching students to conceptualise mental health and substance misuse presentations using the Abductive Theory of Method. Students will critically appraise process issues in cognitive behavioural treatment, and will develop a detailed understanding of trauma informed practice. The course will explore the theory, application and processes of cognitive and behavioural interventions with more complex psychological problems. It will also provide an understanding of how to adapt and apply CBT for delivery to Maori and other ethnic groups.
