APPLY NOW

Digital Humanities is about developing a critical understanding of digital technologies, their relationship to culture and society, and their research applications.

Students can add a minor to their BA focused on examining how digital media and information technology shapes our world, while gaining knowledge and skills essential in today's digital workplace. The DIGI minor also prepares students for postgraduate studies in Digital Humanities and a wide range of other subjects.

As well as traditional forms of learning, students have opportunities to create, use or evaluate a range of digital objects, tools and services. These include websites, archives, databases, and mobile apps. Students are introduced to text encoding, digital collections and archives, data analysis and visualisation, scripting/programming as well as blogging, tweeting and online publishing.
