Florence’s Nightingales focused their attention on improving access to health monitoring and improving the care of patients with chronic conditions. The team’s ‘Health Pod’ concept involved a free to use, remote monitoring hub which would be located within the places people frequent in their everyday life, such as supermarkets, libraries or the Marae. It would allow people with chronic conditions to regularly monitor key health indicators and provide GPs with more information on patients, leading to improved care and better outcomes.
Due to the support of our two Challenge Partners, Pegasus Health and ChristchurchNZ, the teams had opportunities to engage with physicians, practice managers and executives who have been at the forefront of the digital transformation of the General Practice.
