About the Event
Open Christchurch is an annual one-weekend-only festival of exceptional architecture. It’s for everyone in Christchurch.
Over the course of one weekend, building owners/kaitiaki of more than 45 buildings throw open their doors so that locals and visitors can enjoy a first-hand experience of great design, from the inside.
It is a chance to get up close to buildings you love or to discover new spaces. We also shine the light on designed landscapes and urban design.
Parallel to this, we run a public programme of talks, tours and activities that allows attendees to delve deeper and learn more.
Open Christchurch is a celebration of our stories, people, places, designers and innovators. Make sure you are in Christchurch on 3-5 May 2024 to be part of it.
