UC Social Media Approval Request

Set-up or administration of a UC social media account* first requires approval from the relevant Head of Department/School (HOD/S) or service unit manager, and then from the online manager.

To request permission to set up a new social media account or access to an existing social media account, please complete the form below.

*Officially sanctioned accounts are those intended to represent the University and/or its service areas, colleges, departments, schools or programmes on platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Flickr, Vine, LinkedIn, Google+, blogs and wikis. Does not include social media accounts run by affiliates (such as University of Canterbury Students' Association clubs).
