3x3 Social Basketball
Starting: 13 March 2022, Ending: 10 April 2022
Team
- 3 players/side with 2 subs
- Men's and Women's league
- Teams must wear matching uniform or wear the bibs supplied by UC Rec & Sport
- Teams may register a team of 5 players MAX per team
- Only registered players are permitted to participate.
Game
Clock
- 7-minute games, 3-minute breaks (3 x matches in 30minutes).
- Running clock games.
- 12 sec. shot clock at referee's discretion.
- Teams must be ready before the start of their game.
Rules
Normal FIBA 3x3 Basketball rules apply, except for the following alterations:
- Shooting fouls: If someone is fouled in the act of shooting, the attacking team will receive an automatic 1 points (or 2 points) in place of shooting free throws.
- If someone is fouled in the act of shooting and the shot subsequently goes in then they will automatically receive 1 extra point.
- After a shooting foul there is a change of possession with "checking the ball"
- Substitutions - Unlimited “flying” substitutions.
Scheduling
- Sunday 12:00pm - 3:00pm
- Breaks for University holidays
