Te kakau a Māui Scholarships
To mark our 150th anniversary, more than 150 full undergraduate scholarships each year in 2023 and 2024 will be offered to students coming to UC from lower socioeconomic areas in the South Island.
Māpura Bright Start Scholarships
Open to all students who are residents or citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand, this full first year undergraduate scholarship supports those who face financial barriers in accessing tertiary education.
Frank Tay Scholarship
Named in honour of veteran educator Frank Tay, this scholarship funds third-year undergraduate students majoring in economics to undertake postgraduate studies in economics at UC.
Colin Fife Memorial Prize and Scholarship
A prize and scholarship established in memory of University of Canterbury Law alumnus Colin Fife, for the benefit of law students attending UC and competing in the annual moot competition.
Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarship
Established in honour of the memory of Eamon Molloy who dedicated his life to helping immigrants, this scholarship supports international undergraduate students from East or South Asian countries.
Park and Paulay Fund
Established in memory of Professors Bob Park and Tom Paulay to recognise their contributions to the fields of structural and earthquake engineering, this fund is used to support engineering scholarships, prizes, and a special lecture series.
