Gender-neutral toilets on campus
UC has a number of gender-neutral toilets on Ilam campus. These toilets are open for anyone to use, and are identified by signage identifying them either as 'unisex' or 'toilet'.

Locations
There are currently gender-neutral toilets in the following locations:
- Rehua on levels 2 and 7 (11 total)
- Haere-roa (26 total, with at least 10 accessible during the day)
- Elsie Locke on levels 3 and 6 (3 total)
- Puaka-James Hight on level 3 (2 total)
- UC RecCentre (2 total)
- The Postgrad Living Room space (3 total)
- Pasifika students house 45 Creyke Road (1 total)
On Dovedale campus, there are gender-neutral toilets here:
- Kotuku (3 total)
The gender-neutral toilets on level 3 of Puaka-James Hight are located on the other side of the two wooden doors marked with an exit sign next to the Academic Skills Centre.
Access to the Postgrad Living Room and Elsie Locke
Undergraduate students who wish to use the toilets in the Postgraduate Living Room space will need to request access by filling out the form on the UCSA website here. The UC Security team will then endeavour to load on-going swipe access on their Student ID card within three business days. If you experience any issues regarding card access after three business days, please email Ken McEwen.
Students who would like after hours access to Elsie Locke building for use of the toilets can fill out this form.
