Celebration for Māori April 18

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha.

Eke Panuku | Māori Orientation

This is a chance for new students and whānau to be welcomed to UC, meet with staff from Te Tari o Te Amokapua Māori | the Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor Māori (OAVCM) and find out more about the university and services for ākonga Māori (Māori students).

We look forward to meeting you and your whānau at UC Māori Orientation.

Eke Tangaroa | Celebration for Māori graduates and graduands

Eke Tangaroa celebrates the achievements of our Māori students at the University of Canterbury.

This event is an opportunity for our ākonga of Māori descent to be presented to their whānau, the Māori community and the University. Each student is presented with a prized pounamu specifically designed for Māori graduates at UC. The celebration for Māori Graduates and Graduands is not an official graduation ceremony so graduates are also encouraged to attend the UC graduation ceremonies.
