- At the end of the extension period access will be stopped and accounts will be closed. ‘Closed’ means the account will not be usable for login/access to any system that relies on Active Directory or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol directory services. After a further 16 days (undergraduate) or 270 days (postgraduate) accounts will be terminated. ‘Terminated’ means all files, email and any remaining IT-system-stored data relating to the account will be deleted.
- Requests for a further extension period for IT services (beyond the time periods listed above) should be by application to thesis-enrolment@canterbury.ac.nz.
- An extension of building access for postgraduate students will need to be negotiated directly with the Department.
- All extensions will be limited to a maximum of 270 days.
- In most instances, students will receive notification one month prior to the extension period.
