Qualifications
Overview
Sports Studies is a great opportunity to combine your passion for sports with your other studies.
This flexible minor allows you to focus on any aspect of sports and physical activity, and includes practical experiences putting theory into the field.
- Study all things sports, from history to science to business, including practice outside of the classroom.
- Choose your topics and focus on sports of your choice, including team and individual sports.
- Minor in non-sport degrees so you can focus on your sporting interests in combination with many other fields of study.
UC also offers a Bachelor of Sport.
Sport Studies minor
For the minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Digital Screen, Health Sciences, Science, Social and Environmental Sustainability, or Youth and Community Leadership, complete the following courses, complete the following courses:
- Two courses chosen from these core sports options
- Three courses chosen from these advanced sports options
Studying and practising sports at university will make you a valuable resource in fitness and health industries.
This could lead into many different careers working with clients or athletes in the gym, field, classroom, competitive stage, and the great outdoors.
Career pathways could include:
- sports coordinator
- gym and fitness instructor
- youth coach
- personal trainer.
