Micro-credential provisions

General Provisions

Set out below are additional terms and conditions which apply to your micro-credential programme of study. In completing your registration process and enrolling in the micro-credential, you confirm that you have read and understood these.

  • You have determined that the micro-credential is suitable for you by reading the details provided on your micro-credential course web page including course content and any recommended prior knowledge.
  • A micro-credential course is not eligible for a Student Loan and/or Student Allowance.
  • A third party may be funding your participation in this micro-credential course under a third-party scholarship. If this is the case payment of fees is made directly between the third party and UC and the statement of fees you may receive is for your reference only.
  • If you enrol (or UC enrols you) under the assumption the third party is funding your study and this is not the case then UC reserves the right to charge you the full cost of the micro-credential including any ancillary costs and you will be liable to pay these in full.
  • You are agreeing to the following course withdrawal conditions:

    • Cancellation by participants
Details of the withdrawal period and notice can be found below.

If you withdraw or cancel your enrolment once the micro-credential has commenced, or during the micro-credential at any point, there will be no entitlement to a refund or transfer to another course.

If you enrol in a micro-credential but you do not complete the course or you do not attend all of the lessons, UC will not be obliged to provide a refund or facilitate any extra lessons.

    • Cancellations by UC
UC reserves the right to amend, cancel or reschedule a micro-credential due to insufficient enrolments or other unforeseen circumstances (e.g. presenter illness).  If a micro-credential is cancelled we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and where possible automatically transfer your enrolment into the next available course date and notify you by email.  If the date of the new micro-credential offering does not suit please contact us to arrange a refund (if applicable) or transfer into another micro-credential.

If there is no alternate date or offering your original registration fee will be refunded in full if you have made payment.

    • Substitution
In the event the student is unable to commence or complete a micro-credential, you may not send an alternate person in place of the original student.
