Overview

Enter the exciting world of marketing with UC's Online to On Campus Master of Marketing (MMktg). 

Designed specifically for students from non-marketing backgrounds, this degree provides practical, targeted experience, and hands-on project and portfolio work that will prepare you for a career in the fast-paced, tech-driven marketing industry. 

Start your master's degree online from anywhere in the world, then transition to campus at UC to complete your qualification. 

Our Online to On Campus programme for international students offers a 50% saving on your first semester of study.

The Online to On Campus Master of Marketing programme has three parts:

  • Online (four courses)
  • On Campus (four courses)
  • Final Project plus elective course.
Online courses

To begin the Master of Marketing Online to On Campus, you will complete the following four courses online from anywhere in the world:

Term 1 (2 February—5 April)

Term 2 (27 April—28 June)

On Campus courses

Upon successful completion of the above courses, you will travel to Christchurch, New Zealand and complete the remaining courses on campus at UC.

Term 3 (13 July onwards)

Final Project

Following successful completion of the above courses, you will remain on campus to complete one of the following project options:

If you need help meeting our language requirements, or you would like to practise your English skills before studying, UC offers an online course through our College of English (CCEL).

Completing this course will meet our minimum English language requirements.

Pre-Master's pathway programmes

If you need help meeting the study entry requirements for your master's degree, UC offers Pre-Master's pathway programmes to accelerate you into study through our UC International College (UCIC).

Completing a pre-master’s programme will guarantee you entry the Master of Applied Data Science and a range of master’s degrees across Business, Engineering, Science, Health, Education, and Arts disciplines.

Graduates of the Online to On Campus Master of Marketing will graduate with a range of commercial marketing skills, enabling them to gain employment in:

  • Content creation
  • Marketing strategy development
  • Marketing insights and analytics
  • Branding
  • Digital marketing.
Work while you study

Your student visa will also allow you to work part-time while you study, and also do full-time work hours over university breaks and during the summer months.

Stay and work in New Zealand after graduating

You can apply for a Post Study Work Visa after you finish your degree to stay in New Zealand and work full-time for a duration.
