Aruhiko - Power Engineering Excellence Trust Undergraduate Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a first year of a programme for a BE(Hons) degree. Must be a citizen of New Zealand or hold a New Zealand residence class visa. The award amount is $3,000.
Closing date: 15 August

 

Dr John Innes Scholarship

Applicants must be current pupils of either Te Kāreti Kōhine o Wairau | Marlborough Girls' College or Te Kāreti Taitama o Wairau | Marlborough Boys' College. Tenure is for three years. Recipients in a four-year undergraduate programme or intending to enrol in a post-graduate programme may apply for a fourth year of tenure. The award amount is $5,000 per annum for up to four years.

Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women (Universities New Zealand)

Applicants must be NZ citizens or permanent residents. Valued at up to $5,000.
Closing date: 1 September

 

Elman and Alfred Poole Southland Boys' and Southland Girls' High Schools UC Scholarship

The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment in an undergraduate degree programme at the University. Must be a citizen of New Zealand. The award amount is $5,000 per annum for up to three years.
Closing date: 15 August

 

Tait Foundation WiE CAN Scholarship

Applicants must have participated in the WiE CAN residential programme at the University of Canterbury. Must be intending to enrol in first year of a BE (HONS) programme. The award amount is $5,000.
Closing date: 15 August

 

UCSA Lloyd Lilley Scholarship

Applicants must have studied at Southland Boys' High School or Southland Girls' High School in the year of application. Tenable during full-time enrolment. The award amount is $1,200.

Bickerton-Widdowson Trust Memorial Scholarships

Applicants must be enrolled in a programme of study in the School of Fine Arts. Valued at up to $2,000.
Closing date: 1 November

 

Corallyn Newman Prize

Applicants must be a former pupil of Christchurch Girls' High School. The award amount is $2,000. Applications not required.

 

Electrical and Electronic Engineering Prize

The prize recognises academic achievement in Pūhanga Hiko | Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The award amount is $500. Application not required.

 

Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc.) Trust Board Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in an Undergraduate; Honours; Postgraduate; Master's (non-thesis). Must be a New Zealand citizen. Valued at up to $4,500.
Closing date: 31 March

 

Helen Trappitt Engineering Scholarship for Women in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering

Applicants must be students in the First Professional Year of a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours degree programme specialising in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering. Must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand residence class visa. The award amount is $2,000.
Closing date: 31 March

 

Helen Wiley Prize

Students who excel in Mathematical Sciences at 300 or 400-level. The award amount is $500. Application not required.

 

New Zealand Steel Sir John Ingram Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in the First Professional Year of a BE(Hons) in one of the following:

  • Chemical and Process Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering

Must be a New Zealand citizen or holders of a New Zealand residence class visa. Tuition fees support to the value of $3,000 per annum. A single stipend of $1,000 and an offer of a paid internship with New Zealand Steel.

Master's Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc.) Trust Board Scholarship

Must be a citizen of New Zealand. A valid application for a UC Master's Scholarship constitues an application for the Master's Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc.) Scholarship. Value awarded equals to the tuition fees at the domestic rate.

 

New Zealand Law Foundation Ethel Benjamin Prize (For Women)(Universities New Zealand)

Must be the holder of a New Zealand Law Degree. Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Valued at up to $50,000.
Closing date: 1 March

Doctoral Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc.) Trust Board Scholarship

Must be enrolled in study for a research doctoral degree in the Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Education; or Faculty of Health. One scholarship is available every three years. Candidates must be citizens of New Zealand. The award amount is $24,500 per 120 points of enrolment. Application not required.

 

Sir William Hartley Scholarship

Applicants must be doing full-time study for a research doctoral degree at a university in Europe. There is only one holder of this scholarship at a time. The award amount is $20,000 per annum for three consecutive years.
Closing date: 1 November

Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary

The scholarship is tenable during full-time or part-time enrolment for a degree at the University of Canterbury. Level of study includes Undergraduate; Graduate; Honours; Master's; Doctoral. The award amount is $2,500.
Closing date: 15 August
