Research Interests

This PhD project will investigate volcanic and volcano-sedimentary systems in areas that expose great heterogeneity. That will be used to characterize the three-dimensional architecture and petrophysical properties of buried volcanic systems and enclosing sedimentary rocks. These are essential to evaluate a potential reservoir, not just for the oil and gas exploration, but also for geothermal and groundwater resources, and gas capture and storage (CCS). That is equally crucial to understand how volcanic system can control the migration and accumulation of fluids.
