Abstract
Recent work from our lab on developing molecular complexes suitable for use as single source precursors for the chemical vapour deposition of functional semiconducting chalcogenide thin films will be presented. This will include demonstration of very unusual >substrate-selective deposition, including controlling the preferred growth orientation and artificial epitaxy to produce individual nanocrystal arrays on lithographically patterned substrates. The development of this chemistry towards ternary films for the production of thermoelectric materials for waste heat recovery will also be discussed.
