Gertrude Ardagh Holmes Bursary Fund


The funds for these bursaries were established in 1961 by a bequest under the will of the late Gertrude Ardagh Holmes.

The bursaries shall be for the purpose of assisting students of ability and good character to commence or to continue their studies at the University of Canterbury, who would otherwise by reason of their financial circumstances be unable to do so or be seriously handicapped in doing so. Preference shall be given to students who desire to undertake a medical course. Assistance may be continued to such students after they have proceeded to a medical or dental school in another New Zealand university.

The online application system will begin accepting applications eight weeks before the closing date.
