UC Engineering Maori Scholarship


This scholarship recognises and supports high achievers of Maori heritage entering their first year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at the University. Scholarships in three categories are available annually: one $5,000 scholarship, one $3,000 scholarship, and one $1,000 scholarship.

Applications for scholarships for those joining UC in 2019 have now closed. Applications for those intending to start studies in 2020 will open in June 2019.


Applicants must be of Maori heritage and intending to enrol full-time in a BE(Hons) degree programme at the University. They must have completed, or be completing, a university entrance qualification, and must have studied at secondary level in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior).
