Leigh and Judith Pownall Prizes in Geography

Description

The prizes are to recognise academic excellence in Geography at the University of Canterbury. The prizes were established in 2013 from a bequest of Judith Pownall (née Whittaker), widow of Leigh Pownall, for the "advancement of education" in Geography and Music at the University. The prizes are available in two categories: five prizes for students who completed any two 100-level courses in Geography, and five prizes for students who completed any two 200-level courses in Geography.

Eligibility

The prizes are available to students who, in the year of the award, majored in Geography and completed either any two 100-level courses in Geography or any two 200-level courses in Geography.
