Ethel Rose Overton Scholarship


The scholarship supports postgraduate students in Art History, Art Theory, or Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury. It was established in 1966 from a bequest of Ethel Rose ("Annie") Overton (d. 5 June 1963).

The online application system will begin accepting applications approximately eight weeks before the closing date.

Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol, at the University in a programme for one of the following degrees:
a. BA(Hons) in Art History, Art Theory, or Fine Arts
b. BFA(Hons)
c. MA in Art History, Art Theory, or Fine Arts
d. MFA
e. PhD in Art History, Art Theory, or Fine Arts
Recipients of the scholarship who are studying for a PhD must be enrolled full-time.
